3. ORDER XPERTLIGNER
If you agree with the treatment proposal for your patient, we will begin with the production of the XpertLigner.
The 3D print data are generated for each treatment phase. Our production department produces the aligners specifically for your patient. After a final quality check, the aligners will be prepared for shipping and you will receive delivery information.
4. FOLLOW-UP CARE
Usually, patients should schedule a check-up every 3 months. Should you determine that the treatment plan needs to be modified, our team will be here to assist you. Please do not hesitate to contact us. It is very important to us that treatments are successful.

Treatable cases
Deep bite
Normally, the upper incisors cover the lower incisors only a few millimeters. In the case of a deep bite, the upper incisors clearly cover the incisors of the lower jaw.

Treatment process for the patient
Consultation
STEP 1
During the consultation, you will discuss with your patient the possible treatment options. A digital 3D scan of your patient’s teeth is taken. It is no longer necessary to take an unpleasant dental impression. The 3D scan is absolutely pain-free and can be completed within 20 minutes.
Your patient’s individually planned dental correction
STEP 2
Based on the intraoral 3D images, our experts can plan each phase of your patient’s teeth correction. An animated 3D simulation will show you how the teeth reposition. Also, you will see the time frame of the treatment, as well as the results. We will be happy to discuss the treatment plan with you in detail. Further, we will tell you more about the various options of teeth repositioning using the XpertLigner.
Your patient’s XpertLigner
STEP 3
In Carinthia, your patient’s aligners will be manufactured to fit precisely. After you receive the aligners, you can make an appointment with your patient. You will show him how to wear the XpertLigner, answer all his questions and instruct him on how to properly handle and take care of his XpertLigner.
Progress control
STEP 4
In general, it will take about a year to complete your treatment and to achieve the desired results. If the patient will only need minor corrections, it might take less than a year. To ensure that his teeth will remain in their new position permanently, a retainer is required. It will prevent teeth from returning to their initial position after the treatment. In principle, there are two types of retainers: fixed and removable retainers. A fixed retainer consists of a thin metal wire which will be placed on the inside of the upper and lower dental arch. This is particularly important if teeth were severely misaligned. The removable retainer is a special aligner which the patient should wear constantly during the first few months. Upon consultation, he may switch to only wearing the retainer at night.

How to Use XpertLigner correctly
First, make sure that you have the current XpertLigner for the upper and lower jaw unpacked and ready. The XpertLigners for the other treatment steps should either still be packed or already stored. Use the XpertLigner in the upper jaw and lower jaw one after the other. To do this, press the XpertLigner lightly over the front teeth and then apply even pressure with your fingertips on the top of the left and right molars until the XpertLigner clicks into place and has a good grip.In order not to damage the XpertLigner, do not bring it into position by biting.
How to remove the XpertLigner correctly
When removing, carefully pull the XpertLigner from your teeth with your fingertips. Start on one side in the molar area and then work your way up to the other side. Do not use any sharp objects as aids and do not apply any excessive force. Keep the XpertLigner in a clean case until you use it again.
How to Maintain XpertLigner properly
To achieve your perfect smile, wear your XpertLigner in your mouth for 20-22 hours a day. For an ideal outcome, you must pay special attention to oral hygiene and care of the XpertLigner. Clean your XpertLigner thoroughly before each use. You can use a soft toothbrush and conventional toothpaste for cleaning, mild toothpaste without granules is best. After cleaning, rinse your XpertLigner with cold or lukewarm water before inserting them again. Intensive cleaning should not be necessary, and the use of denture cleaners, baking soda or other household remedies is not recommended. Never put the XpertLigner in the dishwasher, as this would deform the XpertLigner.
Proper oral hygiene
The XpertLigner aligners are colour-stable and can be kept in the mouth while drinking beverages up to 70°C (158°F). After consuming sugary drinks, we recommend that you rinse your mouth well with water or clean your teeth to prevent tooth decay. Take out the XpertLigner before every meal. After eating, you should clean your teeth thoroughly with a toothbrush and dental floss and only then use the XpertLigner again.
